Doctoral Program in Art (S3)

The Doctoral Program in Art at ISI Padangpanjang is designed to develop experts, scholars, and professional creators who are grounded in local culture while being capable of engaging with global artistic discourse. It is the first doctoral-level art program offered outside Java and Bali, with a strong foundation in Melayu-Nusantara cultural heritage.

  • The Art Studies Track (theoretical and analytical research)

Admission Requirements
Applicants must submit:

  • Completed application form (handwritten)

  • Certified Master’s degree certificate (minimum GPA of 3.25)

  • Research or creative project proposal

  • Two letters of recommendation (from doctoral-level academics)

  • Copy of national ID and family card

  • CV with a list of artistic works or publications

  • Statement of financial support (self-funded or sponsored)

  • Employer’s consent (if applicable)

  • Recent color photograph

  • Academic potential test and interview results


Tuition and Fees

  • Tuition per semester: IDR 12,000,000

  • Matriculation fee: IDR 1,250,000
